Lady Gaga and Beyonce are femme fatales in highly hyped “Telephone” video

Lady Gaga’s much-anticipated new video for “Telephone” premiered on E! News last night and within hours of its premiere, has already climbed up to #1 on the iTunes Music Videos chart.

The song is Gaga’s second collaboration with fellow pop queen Beyonce (The first being “Video Phone” off Beyonce’s album, I Am…Sasha Fierce). In terms of the video’s storyline, the 10-minute Jonas Akerlund-directed video is a follow-up to the other Gaga / Akerlund creation “Paparazzi.”

“Telephone” is fun, sexy, campy, and disturbing – every quality that Gaga is known for. Product placement, pop culture references and inspirations, and  lots of switches in scenery can either make or break your enjoyment of this short epic. One of my personal favorite parts is near the beginning, when Gaga makes fun of that old tired rumor that she is really a man.

See for yourself.
