There are things in the past that can be left behind, but for one woman, the age of free love is not one of them. For that woman’s modern but conservative middle-aged daughter, it’s the personal tensions from their relationship over the past several decades that can’t be resolved in the present. So a light-hearted story about lifestyle clashes, coexistence, and family sets the table in director Bruce Beresford’s comedy-drama Peace, Love & Misunderstanding.
