It seems just like yesterday I penned my open letter to the doomed but lovable 2013 San Francisco Giants team. Today we open the page to the story of the 2014 MLB season, and a new start for a brand new team. As much as I’d love to do a post on predictions, analysis, and very intelligent stuff to kick off the season, I wanted to create something with a more fun yet familiar spin.

So, I’ve become hopelessly addicted to BuzzFeed quizzes. Last week, I toyed with the idea of making some of my own to publish here, and I chose to create one related to the Giants in honor of Opening Day. I chose seven guys on the 25-man Opening Day roster as possible personality matches. As much as I would have loved to add more, it would’ve just been a lot of work, and let’s be real — some players and personalities are just more distinctive than others. Unfortunately, I also don’t have the technology nor the time to make them easy, elaborate, and visually pleasing (But the results are in pictures!), so for now, I decided to create one that involves pen and paper (Or a good memory) and easy addition skills.

I have a feeling my point system may be flawed, so don’t be afraid to offer constructive feedback (It’s my first time, so be gentle) — I’d love to create more of these in the very near future!

Follow the steps (Don’t scroll down to the very bottom to Step 3 before you take the quiz!), don’t overthink, have fun, and PLAY BALL. Go Giants and see you back at AT&T Park!

My result was Brandon Belt, which I totally agree with because I am awkward through and through and I review movies, duh. Let me know who you got!
