I know we’re already three months into it, but I love the new year because it’s always so full of promise. We get to start out fresh on a clean slate, set new goals for ourselves, and get excited for growth and for new adventures. POPSUGAR’s fabulous January Must Have box gave me all the goods to refresh, renew, and get myself organized for 2016. I’ve been a subscriber since May of last year and have never been disappointed with each box, but I can honestly say this one has been my favorite monthly box so far! I’ve actually been using everything here — There are usually one or two items per box that I end up never using or give to someone else.

Here are the super goodies I unboxed from POPSUGAR Must Have in January!

Not Soap, Radio Bath and Shower Gel Gift Set

This POPSUGAR exclusive travel-sized gift set has everything you can want and more in shower gels: color, scent, magical healing powers, and witty names and descriptions you can read as you cleanse. Whether you need a boost of happiness, a dose of confidence, or a feeling of calm, these gels make shower and bath time the perfect bookend to your days and nights. My favorite is Bathing With Sharks (for Confidence) — it smells just like the beach! Plus, I automatically sing the tune to Demi Lovato’s “Confident” in my head as I use it.

Patchology FlashMasque Trio

If you’re in a time crunch and need to look and feel good in a hurry, look no further than this terrific three-pack of facial sheets. They’ll hydrate, exfoliate, and illuminate your skin in just five minutes! I’m honestly not really a fan of facial sheets and the process of putting them on. They rip easily, there’s too much goop on it, and I look like Ham Face Girl. But the end result of smooth, glowing, and refreshed skin makes it worth it! Patchology’s masks have both those pros and cons. So far, I tried the Hydrate and Exfoliate masks and they both did their jobs beautifully. Unlike other masks I’ve tried, I really like that you only have to leave these on for just five minutes. I’ll definitely consider getting more of these if I can warm up to facial sheets completely.

Blue Sky Day Designer Weekly Planner

Simple on the outside…

…spacey on the inside (And look, you even get a preview of what my weekend could look like!)

In the age of iPhones and Google Calendar, I’ve sadly dismissed the power of a paper planner. But this pretty, portable, sturdy, and detailed weekly planner made me realize that power once again. Now I can’t ever picture being without a paper planner! This is by far and away my favorite product from the January Must Have box. Each week contains a top three section to write down your top goals and focuses and to-do lists for each day. Of course, there are also monthly sections and pages for notes and contacts. The unique intro contains pages to write down your visions for 2016, what major goals you’d like to accomplish and by which dates, and what your morning and evening routines should look like. Very comprehensive stuff!

Pehr Designs Pebble Speck Bin

This light and versatile canvas bin acts as a cute storage space for clothes, scarves, toys, and basically anything causing clutter in your home. My Tarot card set is prominently featured in this photo, but I’ve been mostly using mine to hold the surplus of self-help/health books I’ve acquired recently. Not really a fan of the design and I wish it were a bit larger, but I think it’s a functional product.

Spark Joy by Marie Kondo

Spark Joy

I consider myself an organized person, but I’m definitely not the tidiest. If you saw my half of the bedroom I currently share with my sister, you would probably nominate me to be on an episode of Hoarders. So, I am thankful that POPSUGAR Must Have gave us all a copy of New York Times bestseller and expert cleaning consultant Marie Kondo’s latest book Spark Joy. This illustrated manual contains the most efficient ways to fold and store clothes, organize kitchen and bathroom shelf items, and more! I have a huge pile of books that I want to get through first, but I’m definitely looking forward to checking this one out.

Project 7 Summer Snow Sugar-Free Gourmet Gum

Me? Give up sugar? Why, I never! But for those who wanted to go sugar-free as part of a New Year’s resolution, this gum is the way to go. It tastes just like a cool and fruity snow cone, but without the mess, guilt, and multicolored mouth. Not only does the gum taste great, but purchasing it contributes to Project 7’s do-good mission. Proceeds from every seventh pack sold goes toward anti-bullying efforts in the US. Check out their website for other causes they give to, plus other delicious and one-of-a-kind gum/mint flavors you can’t find anywhere else. I’ll have to try that Strawberry Margarita pack!

ChapStick Total Hydration 100% Natural Soothing Vanilla

A classic tried-and-true brand, ChapStick still does not disappoint with its latest line of lip balm. This natural formula goes on smooth and easy — no stickiness either! It gives your lips a slight tingle and a whole lot of moisture to keep them hydrated in extreme weather. Plus, the improved twist tube is durable and won’t allow the balm to break so easily (A pet peeve I had with regular ChapStick).
